About ImAFUSA and Future Needs’ Role in the Project
ImAFUSA is a research project funded by the Horizon Europe Programme and managed by the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking initiative. The project focuses on providing insights into three key areas affecting societal acceptance: environmental impact (including noise, visual pollution, and air quality), safety, and socioeconomic impact (covering affordability, accessibility, economic development, public space use, and connectivity).
In the ImAFUSA project, Future Needs plays several critical roles:
- Developing a framework of indicators for UAM impact and capacity assessment.
- Leading the development of socio-economic impact assessment indicators, with a focus on UAM services affordability, U-space and UAM services contribution to social and economic welfare, and UAM services accessibility – via vertiports and other infrastructure – and their effects on public spaces.
- Leading dissemination, communication, and exploitation activities to ensure the broad dissemination and future deployment of ImAFUSA results.
We are excited to be part of IAM Madrid by Expodrónica and look forward to engaging with industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss the future of innovative air mobility in Europe. Join us at the SESAR 3 JU stand to learn more about the ImAFUSA project and how Future Needs is contributing to the advancement of urban air mobility.
