Designing with purpose, exploiting with strategy
Our team just returned from sunny Mallorca, where the 6th General Assembly of the Horizon Europe project TANGO took place from May 5–7, 2025. Organised by project partners Anysolution Sl and Cesgarden S.l , the three-day meeting brought together the TANGO consortium to evaluate progress, tackle technical integration challenges, and advance exploitation and dissemination plans. Representing Future Needs, our Head of Design, Panos Chatzimathios, and Exploitation Expert Ioannis Koutsos contributed to key sessions reflecting our dual role in the project: User Interface UI design (User Interface design) and exploitation strategy.
Designing TANGO’s User Experience
During the session “User Interfaces for Web/Mobile Applications,” Panos presented our design contributions — from early sketches to design systems and high-fidelity mock-ups of the platform and app interfaces. He co-presented alongside Panagiotis Matzakos (Netcompany-Intrasoft S.A.) and Evangelos E. Kotsifakos (Lstech Espana Sl), giving a comprehensive overview of the collaborative design process behind TANGO’s user-facing components.
Driving Innovation Forward
Meanwhile, Ioannis co-led the Innovation Workshop with Kostas Chisiridis (Netcompany-Intrasoft S.A.) and Ioannis Drivas (DBC Diadikasia), focusing on business models, licensing strategies, and exploitable results. This session was an important step in aligning the project’s technical outputs with real-world applications, ensuring long-term impact and market relevance.
As a partner in TANGO, Future Needs contributes to several key areas, including:
- Exploitation planning and business modeling
- User interface design and usability
- User acceptance and pilot evaluation support
A big thank you to the entire consortium for the productive discussions, team spirit, and excellent collaboration. As we continue into the next phases of TANGO, we’re excited to further develop impactful solutions that place data privacy, security, and user experience at the core of digital transformation.
