In a significant gathering that concludes two years of collaborative efforts, the final Transnational Project Meeting of the Erasmus+ project, UAMschool4cities, was held at the premises of Burgundy School of Business – BSB, in Lyon, France, hosted by our partner OiGi on January 29th and 30th. 

The meeting, coupled with the Multiplier event hosted by OiGi, brought together project partners to evaluate the work completed and to outline the remaining steps for project closure.

The consortium of UAMschool4cities convened to reflect on the initiatives undertaken and to decide on the future actions required as the project nears its official close. The discussions were focused on the outcomes achieved, the solid relationships fostered, and the collective progress made by the partners over the past two years.

Project Outcomes

Throughout its tenure, the UAMschool4cities project has successfully delivered a suite of educational tools aimed at enhancing the expertise of future professionals in the rapidly evolving field of Urban Air Mobility (UAM). Notably, the project has produced:

• A comprehensive Training Needs Analysis (TNA) that provides a detailed understanding of the necessary competencies for UAM professionals.
• A Training Curriculum that aligns with industry needs and sets international standards for vocational training in UAM.
• A specialised Training Programme that prepares participants for the demands of UAM applications, covering essential skills, knowledge, and qualifications.

Our Role as Future Needs

As a proud partner of UAMschool4cities, Future Needs has actively contributed to the project’s success through all the project results (creating the occupational profile, hosting a Figma workshop). We have led the development of the project’s Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), an important educational resource for current and aspiring UAM professionals.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all our partners, collaborators, and the community for their unwavering support. Our efforts have not only achieved our set goals but also set new benchmarks for UAM training programs.

Concluding Meeting Highlights

The final Transnational Project Meeting, graciously hosted by OiGi at the Burgundy Business School, has been a celebration of our collective achievements and a planning ground for the few remaining steps. With the project officially ending on 31st January, the consortium now focuses on completing the final actions for project closure.

Looking Ahead

As we bid farewell to the project meetings, the UAMschool4cities legacy continues. The project outcomes will soon be publicly available, including access to the MOOC, on the project’s website. This marks the beginning of a new chapter where the groundwork laid by UAMschool4cities will continue to support and inform the development of UAM services and training for the betterment of urban environments across Europe.
