Future Needs, as a key member of the ENTRUST project, was excited to visit Paris to coordinate with the consortium partners during the project’s 4th plenary meeting, on December 3rd and 4th, 2024. The City of Light provided an inspiring setting for aligning on key next steps in the ambitious undertaking of the ENTRUST project, to significantly advance the security of connected medical devices (CMDs).
“It was a really productive meeting in a collaborative spirit where all technical and use case partners were in complete agreement with regards to the evaluation and experimentation plan,” says Dimitris Karas of UBITECH, the software house and systems integrator responsible for the overall scientific and technical coordination of the ENTRUST project. “We are very confident about the progress of the project both in the short term and in the long term.”
Future Needs, as the leader of Work Package 7 for Dissemination, Standardization, Exploitation & Impact Creation of the ENTRUST project, leveraged this plenary meeting to engage with partners in person and address recent developments and practical next steps. Our Dissemination and Communication team, Egle Joneliunaite and Pavlos Zafiropoulos, and our Innovation Project Manager Thanos Arvanitidis were our representatives in Paris, as key actors in the ENTRUST consortium.
Egle delivered a presentation updating on the overall progress of the Work Package against key performance indicators. She also coordinated with the partners on capacity building, standardisation and regulation activities, scientific papers produced as part of the ENTRUST project, and the next steps for the exploitation of its results.
Following this, Thanos aligned with partners on the development of a roadmap for the release of the ENTRUST results under an open-source scheme. The working session closed with our team, and by Dissemination and Communication Manager Pavlos Zafiropoulos who conducted video interviews with project partners for an upcoming social media campaign!

“We are extremely happy with the work performed by Future Needs and the collaboration that we have because we are in complete alignment with regards to the harmonisation of the technical outcomes with their communication with external -European stakeholders”
Dimitris Karas, UBITECH, scientific and technical coordinator in ENTRUST
No trip to Paris is complete without a visit to one of the city’s myriad brasseries. Happily, the hosts of the plenary, Roland Atoui and Paul Gédéon from Red Alert Labs, arranged an atmospheric dinner where partners were able to mingle and discuss in a more informal setting while enjoying classic Parisian dishes.
Our thanks to hosts Red Alert Labs and project coordinator Uni Systems for a highly successful plenary meeting! We look forward to implementing our plans for this last year of the project, as part of this remarkable
