The ATT Cluster brings together organisations working on the digital and sustainable transformation of aviation.
Initiated by Future Needs through our aviation innovation projects, it has evolved into a community where people connect, collaborate, and continue building impact beyond individual projects.
The ATT Cluster connects organisations across research, industry, and policy working on aviation innovation, from digital technologies and new business models to sustainable aviation solutions. It was created to sustain collaboration beyond individual EU projects and turn short-term partnerships into long-term connections. Today, the cluster brings together a community that wants to stay connected, exchange knowledge, and explore new opportunities together.
The ATT Cluster brings together people working on the future of aviation to develop and demonstrate technologies that support digitalisation and automation across the sector. Together, we share a common vision: to make aviation greener, more circular, and globally competitive. We offer an open, pan-European space to exchange ideas, share knowledge, and tackle real-world challenges in a practical, collaborative way.

“Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens when we put our minds together. We created the ATT Cluster to make sure great work doesn’t stop at project boundaries – but continues through people, collaboration, and shared ambition.” – Anna Palaiologk, Founder & Head of Research, Future Needs
A key milestone of the ATT Cluster was a 3-part webinar series organised in collaboration with EUROCONTROL in early 2026. The series brought together organisations and experts to explore topics such as environmental modelling, business perspectives, and implementation challenges in aviation.
Cluster members have also contributed to the first terms of U-SpaceWiki, a public glossary designed to bring clarity to Europe’s future airspace and support a shared understanding of key concepts across the sector.

The ATT Clustering event took place on 29–30 July 2025 in Athens, Greece. It brought together experts, industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to explore the sustainable and digital transformation of aviation and IAM.
Through keynotes, panel discussions, and workshops, participants exchanged insights, explored innovative solutions, and strengthened collaboration across projects and stakeholders.
The webinar focused on key socio-economic and business aspects of digital aviation technologies, highlighting how digital solutions are shaping safer, more sustainable, and efficient aviation. Through a roundtable discussion with industry experts, participants explored the applications and implications of digital transition across the sector.
