n today’s world, digital services are becoming more and more a commonality in people’s daily lives. Ongoing digital transformation and data management is taking place across the majority of industrial sectors. Organizations have been collecting a plethora of data about their customers as well as their businesses. Intellectual property (IP) is an essential motor driving innovation, competitiveness, and the growth of businesses and the economy. However, all this digital overflow is largely susceptible to theft and breach of citizens’ privacy. The associated costs related to citizens’ privacy both from the users’ side and the organizations side are huge, creating an imperative need for digital solutions that will ensure users privacy.
Future Needs participates in various Work Packages of the project: “Project and Technical Management”, “Requirements, Specifications & Reference Architecture” (we will identify the gaps in distributed data management, extract the user requirements translating them into functional for the design of the overall architecture), “User Interfaces and Platform Integration”, “Pilot Demonstration and Validation Campaigns” and “Dissemination, Communication and Exploitation” (more specifically “Market Analysis and Business Modeling”). During the implementation of the latter, Future Needs along with other partners will ensure wide communication and scientific dissemination of the innovative TANGO results to the research, academic, and international community. Moreover, Future Needs will work towards the efficient exploitation and business planning of the TANGO concepts and tools to various domains, with the aim of identifying end users and potential customers.
The aim of the TANGO project is to use digital technologies as a gatekeeper to information and data flow. TANGO will leverage the power of emerging and digital technologies to improve the privacy and user-experience for citizens, to protect intellectual property, reduce costs and improve productivity for companies, and to address key bureaucratic and administration challenges for public organizations including embassies. It will provide a solution within the transport, e-commerce, finance, public administration, tourism and industrial domains supporting numerous beneficiaries across Europe.
TANGO will introduce a novel and holistic platform for user-friendly, secure, trustworthy, compliant, fair, transparent, accountable and environmentally sustainable data management (data handling, processing, communicating and storage). Distributed and privacy preserving data collection, processing, analysis, sharing and storage in a green manner, are key elements of the platform. Security and trust will be at the core of the platform.
