More than 40 participants from 7 countries, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Austria, Croatia, and Italy, gathered in Vienna for the 3-day International Training of The Trainers of LEAD-Online project. LEAD-Online partners and external participants, educators, journalists, and activists, met in person in order to train themselves to recognize, decode, and respond to online hate speech.
The Cypriot delegation consisted of Lina Giannivasili and Thanos Arvanitidis, from Future Needs, Katerina Nicolaou, Elena Papamichael, Panagiota Panagiotou, and Dorita Markantoni.
The Training of Trainers was based on the standards of human rights education and in that regard, it was interactive, participatory, and followed an experiential learning approach.
