The new year started in the best way for Future Needs, with the ENTRUST kick-off meeting.
As it is mentioned in its title “Ensuring Secure and Safe Connected Medical Devices Design with Zero Trust Principles”, ENTRUST project aims to provide an end-to-end trust management system for connected medical devices. The project will leverage a series of breakthrough solutions to enhance assurance without limiting the applicability of connected medical devices by enclosing them to cyber security features. Furthermore, the project will introduce a novel remote attestation mechanism to ensure the device’s correct operation at runtime regardless of its computational power.
On the 18th of January, all project partners gathered in Athens for the ENTRUST kick-off meeting of the project. The meeting lasted two days and we had the chance to discuss the future plans for all activities, set our short-term goals for the first six months of the project, and make the first decisions on how to move to make people trust connected medical devices.
Future Needs as the Dissemination, Communication, Exploitation and Impact Creation work package leader, presented the work packages tasks and the timeline for the next months. More than that, Future Needs presented the Data Management, Legal and Ethical Compliance task of the project and presented the next steps.
