The kick-off meeting of our new Erasmus+ AgroPro project, took place in Athens, Greece on April 3rd and 4th, hosted by the Agriculture University of Athens, the project’s coordinator. Project officially started on January 1st, 2023 and it will last until December 2024. The AgroPro project aims to bridge the gap between the rapid technological advancements in the agriculture industry and the current lack of related education and skills among agriculture professionals. With agricultural consumption expected to increase by 70% by 2050 and extreme weather events becoming more frequent, AgroPro seeks to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to utilise drones for precise soil analysis, irrigation and nitrogen-level management, crop health monitoring, and other crucial agricultural applications. By offering training, support, and counselling for those who desire to use drones in their professional practice, AgroPro intends to connect agriculture professionals with fewer opportunities to the evolving market and provide tangible solutions.
In the AgroPro project we lead the e-Guide development listing new career paths in agriculture activities and also the development of an interactive self-assessment Quiz and associated Badge Evaluation System.
We had a great time and we are excited to start working on yet another Erasmus+ project.
