Future Needs participates in drone exhibition in the EU Parliament
Future Needs is glad to have participated with its ImAFUSA project in the Drone exhibition hosted at the European Parliament and organised by CANSO from 19th to 22nd February 2024. Namely, Chariton Palaiologk from Future Needs along with Milan Rollo from our Czech partner, AgentFly Technologies welcomed visitors to the project’s booth and discussed several topics related to the use of drones, such as the position of Unmanned Air Vehicles in the future of aviation, and the contribution of European projects like ImAFUSA to the social acceptance of Urban Air Mobility.
They had the chance to meet with key people from the industry, representatives from other projects, some members of the European Parliament, and plain citizens who were eager to learn more about our project, about SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking (SESAR 3 JU) and the drones’ potential applications in various fields like health, security, emergency services, and others. Visitors also showed interest in our project, ImAFUSA, and asked about the challenges that we face. Other visitors needed a more generic overview of the drone problematics, which was provided by the SESAR representatives adequately.
The event was hosted by the MEP (Member of Parliament) Jan-Christoph Oetjen and his team. CANSO had successfully secured an exhibition space located on the 3rd floor of the Parliament building, and SESAR 3 JU contributed to the event along with its drone projects.
The primary objective of this exhibition was to highlight to MEPs and their advisers the crucial role played by ATM and UTM systems in facilitating the seamless integration of unmanned aerial vehicles into the aviation ecosystem. This event served as a pivotal platform for Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) to showcase their contributions and demonstrate how they collaborate with the drone industry and other key stakeholders to ensure the safety and efficiency of the skies.
